K-Pop and Korean Culture Camps!
June 15-19 (Ages 8-12)
July 27-31 (Ages 10-14)

Learn to dance Korean-Pop style! Students will study classic jazz dance with a K-pop flair. During breaks, they will learn the Korean “Hangul” phonetic alphabet and basic Korean phrases, and the history of this ancient and now-modern country. Snack time will include traditional Korean cuisine, such as japchae (potato-starch noodles), Korean fried chicken and other popular dishes (including kimchi for the adventurous!). Students will present an informal performance the last hour of the final day of camp

Leslie and her family lived in the Republic of Korea for five years, where she founded and operated a dance program through the US Military's Youth Services program. She also served as a choreographer for the Hyundai Cheerleaders. She speaks basic conversational Korean, and is excited to offer this camp!

Disney Dance and Tumbling

June 29 - July 3

Jasmine, Belle and Prince Charming all agree: It’s fun to learn classical ballet and tap basics to the beat of the most inspiring Disney tunes! We will also tumble, introducing skills such as the front and back roll, cartwheel, bridge and kickover. (More advanced stunts may be taught for students who have mastered these skills). Students will present an informal performance to parents and friends the last hour of the final day of camp.

Broadway Ballet and Jazz Camp

July 20-24

Mean Girls? Newsie boys? Outsiders? Let’s move to tunes from some of today’s most popular musicals! We’ll start with an hour of solid ballet technique, learn a lyrical ballet routine set to the music of one of these tunes, and then move into classic Broadway jazz. We’ll also set a jazz piece to a popular stage tune. Students will present ballet and jazz routines to parents and friends the last hour of the final day of camp.
